Use this section to start aggregating your desired content.
Click on Aggregate > Create Term and click on Create (or click on Edit to update an existing) term to activate and enable the Active tab.
On this tab, there are three available options:
- Ability to make a Term Active
- Ability to apply a schedule to a Term
- Ability to throttle the Content Aggregated
To start aggregating instantly, simply tick on the box called Activate Term.
Alternatively, click on the Aggregation Schedule heading (marked in blue). A pop-up screen will appear allowing you to set a start and end date/time for your timezone. Click Save once complete. If you use this option your Term will stop aggregating after the schedule time.
Finally, if you wish to throttle the volume of content that you wish to ingest, please select one of the options available under the title Throttling Options, which are:
- Discard tiles which contain identified Bad Words
- Discard tiles with Negative sentiment scores
- Enable Throttling
Discarding Tiles identified with Bad Words or a Negative sentiment will mean that any piece of content from any network that satisfies either (or both) of those options will never be stored in your respective Stacks.
As such, these identified pieces of content will never count downwards your Monthly Ingestion or Tile Store limits.
Enabling Throttling will allow users to set a Throttle Limit and a Throttle Window for their Term. Throttle Limit is the maximum number of pieces of content which will be aggregated by that Term per Throttle Window (ie. If you set a Throttle Limit of 30 per Hour, only the first 30 eligible tiles will ever be ingested).
The available Throttling Windows are:
- Per 30 Seconds
- Per Minute
- Per 10 Minutes
- Per 15 Minutes
- Per 30 Minutes
- Per Hour
- Per 3 Hours
Once the Throttling Limit has been hit, the Term will deactivate until the Throttle Window has expired. Any UGC that may have been created during this 'deactived' time will not be ingested into your Stack.
Throttling is a useful option for clients who wish to aggregate from popular Terms (ie. Hashtag, Geo-Radius), however only require a sample of content.
Note, you can always edit these settings again if needed.
